I have recently come back to cycling after a long break. What sort of training do I need to do in order to improve my fitness. I work in London during the week which limits rides after work during the week. I do have a turbo trainer.

I think that you will notice an improvement fairly quickly, as with any form of exercise that you take up or return to from absence.
For an increase in power & speed I tend to do interval training at this time of year, as the evenings allow me to get out for an hour or so after work (I also work in London), and I don't have the use of a turbo at present.
