A group of 8 of us will be passing through Edinburgh on a LEJOG leg, Thurs 7th May. We'll be coming in on the A702 and want to get to the bridge as quickly and safely as poss. Can any locals give advice or better still, guide us through on the day. We'll be on a huge day from Langholm to Braemar so any time saved would be useful. We are raising money for charity.
All constructive advice welcome, thanks.

  • Hi Imrt

I would try and head over from the A702 to the A70 ( Biggar to Carnwath B7016) then up to turn off at the B7031 then B7030 crossing the old A8 and heading for Kirkliston, Dalmeny and then the bridge.

A bit of navigation needed but it is fairly light traffic wise

    Cheers

Thanks for that, I'll get the map out to study it.
