been searching for a 2nd hand yeti 575 frame in terquoise for a while and at last i found one.

picked it up from wigan yesterday and spent about a hour and a half building it up using bits from my old giant reign.

a totaly diffrent beast to the giant so will take some getting used too.

it has diffrent handling and ride so im messing about with pressures to get the ride right but all in all very pleased.

  • i was not keen on colour in pics but in the flesh the terquoise is by far the best colour.

Nope. Turquoise is definitely NOT the best colour.

Something like mud brown, or clay brown

sweet sweet bike! Mrs B has the black ano '09 575, which I would have said was the best finish, until they came out with the proper team colours one this year ... now I want one  . The solid turquoise isn't for me but it is a sweet bike anyway.

Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day

Be careful with that saddle bag, I lost everything I had in it during an XC race! It was properly zipped but must have undone on rocky terrain :(

Nice, a mate of mine had one- his biggest concern was (Cinders) with bigger tyres, there aint a lot of clearance on the back end. Every so often it would pick a stone up in the tyre and you cold hear it catching the carbon....
