Clicking rear mech

Hello,

Wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction please?

My rear mech has started to click when I'm pedalling. It has a rhythm to it, only occurring once every revolution of the chain. On closer inspection, the sound seems to be coming from the jockey wheel/s but without disassembling I don't seem to be able to see anything that's wrong with them. The chain (on minimal inspection) seem OK too.

Has anyone experienced this or a similar condition? I haven't been annihilating the trails on it yet so I don't think it can be that much to do with wear and tear and only had the bike a couple of months.

Thank you my sweet angels of knowledge,

Moomin Papa

    Hi there

You will probably find that your chain is partially seized at the point that is making the noise when passing through the jockey wheels.

    Does that make sense?? :?
  • Hi sir,

Yeah, like the chain isn't pivoting on it's linking hinge as it passes over the jockey wheel? Great, will give it a look thanks.

    Cheers!
