It's only about 6 miles from me, in fact I can see it now! But there are very few bridle ways around Pendle, just loads of footpaths. There are no BPs on or near the summit itself. And the walkers really don't like you being up there.
But if you like I can email you a 'cheeky route' that's about 19km long. (Only to be done on week day evenings when its quiet though!)0 -

carry your bike up the stones steps, very hard, but there is rideable path down into downham, very naughty but nice. when you get to top of the steps veer right, over the style then follow the left sheep track not the right, gets very very technical. do not i repeat do not use you brakes on the wet heather or storm drains near the bottom, even if you only dab you will do 720's and fall.Cotic Soul rider.0

There's a short out-and-back route which you can do from the car-park at Spring Wood near Whalley, but there's quite a bit of tarmac involved. I can send you a route map if you'll PM me your e-mail address.
The hill itself is off-limits, no legally bikeable tracks. It's too busy and popular with the red-sock brigade to be faffing about with it anyway and it's a bit boring TBH.0 -
Not sure if you can tell form this but here's a ride you could do (do it anticlockwise).
There's a couple of good downhill sections and a tricky stretch of single track along a ravine edge. Oh yeah, and a bloody big climb to get to the summit. But watch it I have known the rangers to stop cyclists and take their details.
I've only ever done it at night when it's quiet and there's hardly anyone about.
Let me know if you want a guided tour one night, but you'll need decent lights.
