Looking to get some mirage hubs built up with open pros and DB spokes. Is there anything wrong with mirgae hubs? camoag stuff generally is well built and lasts forever I have a bike from the 50's (given to me, i'm not that old)! with campag hubs still buttery smooth!

does any one use them/recommend them/hate them?
Carbon fibre, it's all nonsense. Drink beer. Ride a steel bike. Don't be a ponce.

  • I have a front wheel built with mirage hub and open pro rim that's lasted for donkeys. Nothing at all wrong with the hub in my opinion

I've got a set of mirage hubs which I had built last year.
Bearings have not been the best to be honest.Had issues with them after only a couple of hundred miles.Had to remove them and give them a clean a re-grease.I've done about 500 miles in total and have even replaced one bearing.
The problem seems to be that Campag only seal one side of the bearing.
The take up of the rear hub has been faultless though.

They use cartridge bearings and a new set is only a few quid. If you can live with swapping them out every couple of years, then there's nothing wrong with them - in fact it's pretty well the same design of hub as Centaur.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
