Whoops - apologies, just found the earlier thread on this one. Sounds hilly but I guess the North Cornwall was possibly hillier - anyone done them both ?

    Its horrible.
  • It is great fun providing you are not phobic of hill climbs. I certainly loved the event last year and I am looking forward to Sunday.

The route is a war of attrition with so many climbs coming one after another. Certainly the worst two are Bull Hill and the climb up from Symonds Yat. The countryside is glorious and is a much underestimated part of the UK.

As Mrs Doyle would say, "go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, are you sure that you would like one more tiny little climb?"

Just don't stop to talk to any of the locals. They all like toast!

Lots of trees and hills of varying intensities. I've not done this particular ride before but I've ridden out that way a lot, from Cheltenham. The Wye Valley and Symond's Yat, that area is beautiful.
