Quill stems

Quil stems stopped being fitted to new bikes less than ten years ago if I recall yet getting hold of a new one is becoming increasingly difficult.
Yet there are many people I'm sure like myself who still want to build up retro's and single speed bikes using older frames with 1" steerers. Surely there is still a market for these stems? Some bikes just don't look right with an Ahead stem.
Does anyone know where I could get a 130mm quill stem from for standard bars? apart from a badly scratched secondhand one on Ebay?

If my shop hasn't got one we could have it for you by Wednesday. Brand new and we can post (although you may have to pay that).0

Thanks.
Would you be able to state the make/clamp diameter/colour/approximate price?0 -
Make would be more than likely be KF, but I'll have a look tomorrow for you, see what we've got.0

Why not just buy a quill adaptor and then by a modern stem/bar ? That's what I did on my old 1980sPeugeot that I still ride in the winter.0

nitto still make really nice quill stems, very well made japanese quality kit, i think from planet x or just search nitto stem in googleCarbon fibre, it's all nonsense. Drink beer. Ride a steel bike. Don't be a ponce.0

Cinelli and Deda still have quill stems in their catalogues. You should be able to get those. Nitto makes a load of them too. The Pearl would be perfect for you. Hubbub would probably have them.0

Thanks for replies. I have used a quill adaptor and Ahead stem on another retro bike and it works ok but I like the visual appeal of a quill stem. I also need a liitle more height at the front and I don't like flipping Ahead stems. The Hubjub (Nitto) model with the extra height looks about right for my needs.0
