Bit of professional research on my part. How many miles are people getting out of their carbon specific brake pads? Did you stay with the wheel manufacturers recommendation or change pads?

I use carbon rims for TTs, so braking is minimal. But as a rule the pads - Campagnolo - seem to wear down like I'm riding in the rain, even if it's dry. But that's tolerable as I want the pads to wear instead of the rim, carbon is softer than alloy of course.

Depends how oftem you use them, they are crap compared to rubber thats for sure.
In Italy I went through a brand new set on one decent!!!
Ok it had 23 very steep and short switch backs but I would not have expected to stop for 5 minutes to let them cool down :D
