i havent paid much attention to the snooker for the last 5 years probably but i am on leave at the moment so am getting the chance to watch pretty much all of it.

it honestly seems that the standard of snooker has improved n the time i have been away!! there are some new emerging talents and we're even seeing a bit of emotion and a few characters appearing!

was good to hear that the world championship is staying in sheffield, would be a travesty for the competition to move.

how good was allen versus o'sullivan!?

im particularly looking forward to (hopefully) seeing hendry in the final, his match against junhui was excellent
  • If Hendry makes the final on Sunday it'll be the 1st one I'll miss in about 20years...unless its against Maguire. But looking good for Murphy at 11-8 up, so hopefully wont need to worry :D

haha, i dont doubt it, hes one of the players i didnt know anything about coming into this championship as i have ignored snooker for the last few yrs but he is proper good eh?
  • He was World Champion after only getting into the Championships through the qualifying rounds in 2006! Didnt do so well last year, but picking his game up just in time...and with The Rocket out, he's probably bookies fave alongside Maguire.

    It's getting interesting.

Higgins is as good as through against Ronnie's victor, but Allen has fought back well after being 13-4 down I think. Murphy v Robertson is a closer match, with Shaun edging it at the moment 8)

    Murph v Higgins final?

That will be a classic...another post midnight finish on sunday would be awesome!

It's been a great come back in both games...still hopeful that Murph will join Higgins, but the momentum is with Robertson at the moment :?

Get in! Murph played an awesome couple of frames back from the interval, and sets up the best final from the quarters I reckon. Roll on tomorrow at 2pm 8) although Im due to be playing golf in the afternoon!

Well done Higgins, top class snooker! That female ref is worth one.

    she definately would

i thought the final was amongst the worst matches of the competition. good win for higgins but i thought all of the matches leading upto it were much better.

the actual snooker was top class as you'd expect but it didnt make fo a particularly exciting match.

Murphy lost his edge, though I guess he's not bitter. Standard has been so high all week I suppose it was a let down in that sense.

Everytime Michaela bent over the table to replace the pink I thought I was going to have an accident.
