I was just abut to buy an '08 Enduro pro carbon, when I popped into anoter bike shop for some cleats and thought 'I'll ask what they've got...?' they suggested the Cube Fritzz, I was very impressed, and they are offering me the '09 K18 for the same price as the '08 Enduro....

I have asked them to get one in in my size (small!) to try...so while I'm waiting, any opinions...? I want a bike capable of taking on my local downhill track, but still be able to ride home/uphill. I've got a Scott hardtail for easier stuff single track, XC, rides with the family etc...

  • don't know how it rides but the price went up because of the euro vs the pound
I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

Yeah I know, but the shop I went into was offering to knock it back to the old price and quite a big chunk more so I'm very interested...

I know they're not very common, but has no one got one or even an opinion...?

    Cheers

  • I was also interested in the Fritzz along with the Stereo. The nearest dealer to me is just over an hour away and when I was looking they didn't have any in stock. I ended up getting a Trek Remedy. For the following reasons:
Rode one on the demo day and was blown away by it.
Lifetime warranty on the frame (I won't be buying a new bike for at least 5 years or more!). Shop were super helpful and knocked a bit off and chucked in some pedals.

The Cubes price and spec are amazing for what you pay but the ease of access to local dealers if I ever had a problem, and also the Cube dealer was a little shady over the frame warranty, had a negative effect. Also I wasn't too keen on the placement of the shock with regard to our British summers and winters On the Fritzz.

The main thing is to put your leg over one and see how it feels.
