All day riding, cheap b+b, and a decent night out! Any idea?

The title says it all really.
I'm looking for a decent days riding, suitable for mixed abiities, and a cheap b+b with bike lock-up all in a location where a decent night out can be had afterwards.

Am I asking too much?

I was looking at Afan but I read on this forum that the locals aren't too accomodating and the nightlife locally isn't up too much any way.

Any suggestions welcome.

Try the Tyn-y-Groes hotel (www.tynygroes.com) about 2 minutes down the road from the visitor centre. Bike friendly, good accomodation, good food and real ale. Plus you've the option of a cab-ride into Dolgellau if you feel up to it. Even the locals aren't too awful for sheep botherers.

Keswick in the Lakes.
Good b & bs, great trails, especially the Altura trail at Whinlatter.
