Just had a good offer on some Campag wheels and would like to use them with a Shimano groupset. Can anyone please tell me what I need to make the conversion. Cheers.

Either a Shiftmate or an Ambrosia cassette which is Shimano spaced but fits Campag freehubs.

You can buy a Shimano splined but Campagnolo spaced cassettes, but not the other way around to my knowledge - which is what you're looking for. Your choices are:
JTek Shiftmate; a Marchisio custom cassette for about £100; or getting a basic Campagnolo (Mirage / Veloce) or Miche cassette and fitting Shimano-width spacers - try Highpath Engineering - £15 for a set of spacers.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Miche sprockets for Campag with Miche spacers for Shimano.

I think you can get shimano fitting freehubs for campagnolo wheels, no?

Certainly Boras and the like are available new with either shimano or campag fitting freehubs, I assume they're interchangable and available as spares.

Freehubs? Depends on the model of wheels - a freehub is £50 and you still have to buy a cassette, vs £10-15 for the spacers

Many thanks to everyone; lots of help. I'm going to try the alternative spacers route first and see how it goes. Cheers.
