Hi, went into the Twickenham Bikehut couple of weeks ago to look at a Boardman pro carbon. Bloke was helpful and said he'd order me a medium as they only had a small in stock. He knew his stuff so had confidence in them setting it up.
Just called to check how it was going and they are no longer a Bikehut, instead a Metro so wont be selling Boardmans. He said that I could go to the Isleworth branch but he said they are just a regular Halfords with a few bikes so not to expect the same level of service.
So frustrating!!!

Don't you think they are that good, or just that they are sold through Halfords not a LBS? Tried another branch, no luck. Just seems a lot of bike for 1500 and pretty light too. Will have to wait and see if they get them in for a test ride. New branch certainly weren't as good as the original branch, didn't seem too clued up...0

You get good and bad LBS, just like good and bad Halfords. It's frustrating that there just seem to be more bad Halfords. It's also frustrating that the Boardman bikes are generally very good due to Halfords buying power allowing them to offer great spec but they just don't stock enough of the popular sizes. Good luck getting hold of one, they are fantastic for the cash, but a very racy feeling bike which isn't for everyone0

Called the various Bikehuts in and around London and none of them have one. They are calling back on Monday to give me an idea of availabilty, but doesn't sound too promising...0
