Helmets for big heads?

I currently have a Giro Xen helmet from a couple of years back - cost about £100 new. Problem is, I have a pretty big dome and it makes me look a t*at. Anyone got any helmet advice for the big headed? If anything, the top of my head is a little pointed (only a little!) but it is enough to make helmets sit rather high.....there must be someone out there with the same problem?

i have had problems with shapes of helmets on all the usual brands.
i finally found a pefect fit with a uvex fp1.. great helmet - great german quality (do lots of safety wear for different sports)and the other good thing is that they are nit as common as metz - bell etc etc.
they don't look massive on the head either...0 -
Thanks for that sir, I will give it a go when I can scrape together a few more quid!0

These guys.........
Sorry, couldn't resist :? :?
I also have a large bonce (62.5cm) and I have 2 helmets. One is the MET Testagrossa which is specifically for larger heads and also a Giro Ionos in a Large which fits OK. The Ionos looks more cool but doesn't actually fit any better than the MET - although it is more than twice the price
I tried on a couple in the Giro range (Monza and Atmos) and they fitted OK as well. I believe there is a Bell helmet that is also made for big heads.
Good luck

63cm!
Bell Sweep fits me nicely with a little left over to spare.Paul0 -
I'd second Met. A guy in Condor told me the Met helmets would fit me best and look better on my big heed. He wasn't wrong.===============================
