Hey,
I live in Baldock, Herts. de my bike whenever I can. I have a Carrera MTB, but I am looking to upgrade/buy a new bike, preferably a Merida 880-24, as reveiwed in Cycling Plus. I have only $400 and it looks like the bike for me. As you can tell, I am looking for the switch between MTB to road, but I need some training tips. I am 13 and a littlee small for my age, I have strong legs   and I enjoy riding. I need training tips as I am hoping of doing a 100 miles Audaux/ race. ANd if you do reply, dont treat me as a kid please. I may seem a little young, but I assure you, I have a love for cycling the same as any of you! And the legs to match it!

You've three main choices: try the CTC, North Herts section, http://www.ctc.org.uk/events_guide/even ... tails.aspx
or go on to http://www.aukweb.net/index2.htm or www.britishcycling.org.uk and see if there are any coaches or clubs in your area, which is BC's Central area.
In the meantime, 6 hours might be a bit optimistic, since that means averaging 17mph. Get your bike, see if you can find any Bikeability training (road safety) through your local council Road Safety department and find some people to go out onroad with. You might find the CTC best for you, but keep digging for info.

Hey,
Thank you for your kind reply. I understand that 6 hours was a wee bit of an over judgement.
