Cervelo test team shorts good quality?

Just received my Cervelo test team kit and as its my first team kit not sure if the quality is worth the cash.
Mainly the shorts are the issue i am 32 waist so ordered the large and they seem to fit very well , but the material goes from black to a light black when wearing and the stitching seems to be under strain.
Is this how it is for everyone or do i buy xl or will the material still do the same?
he shorts have are light coloured inside so this might be the norm but not sure
