You know who you are.

Who wants a super light, carbon fibre, $875* set of brakes?

Bling, bling bling.

Makes a Record bottle cage look humdrum.

*The article seems to have been superseded by the 0G website

Add them to this £800 bad boyand you've got a right proper bike for a Sunday ride!
Swim. Bike. Run. Yeah. That's what I used to do.

How light to brakes actually have to be? Surely more weight can be saved by drilling holes in your cranks?

Those holes must be a right PITA to clean after a wet ride.

Why not add a new rear mech while you're at it

I'm sure it's worth every penny

Wet ride? WET RIDE? On the good bike? gah!

Mr66, you still thinking about those Q rotors? Some of the more powerful guys on Cervelo TT have swapped them out for stiffer cranks. The Q boffins are said to be working on a new version...

Quite. I looked for some second hand front and rear mechs for the commuter recently. Once you add postage, might as well buy a new one. If you're a member of cycling club, you're better off seeing if one of your club mates can sell you one cheaply.

Yep - that photo, if I'm not mistaken - is the tuned version of the Rotor Agilis cranks Carlos Sastre is using with his Q rings. Maybe he's sufficiently light that he doesn't need to be a crank-bender, but looking at them compared to my Campy carbon cranks, there's a whole hell of a lot more material in the Campy cranks, and I can't believe it's all just ballast.

:D:D:D In ways you can't imagine! ZGs don't have the best rep for stopping power (and Negative Gs are supposed to be even worse).

Kind of what I'm looking for in a brake, stopping power.

But seriously. That's insane! This is weight saving gone mad... I've just eaten 2 slices of toast, that must weigh nearly 40g...

I'm going to go and drill holes in my bike.

after bike bling, then take a look at the Lightweight Rear mech - only £800, handcrafted carbon and ti and less than 120g

    lightweight-rearmech-zoom.jpg

or for the ultimate upgrade a set of Token Carbon Tiramic jokey wheels at £90 and 13.6g

    :lol::lol:
SC61.10a: FCN 3, with clip-on guards for winter
Uncle John: FCN ?? knobblies, or 'fat' slicks n guards

If you haven't tried these things, you should.

I'd happily wear one of those jockey wheels on a chain around my neck, and use the other as a belt buckle.

and instead of lots of little holes merge them all together and have one big one in the crank arms, like the old Stronglight Pulsion chanset...610g

I've just figured it out - you are an MP and they were a legitimate travel expense. It was also legitimate to claim for that £200 chrome plated toaster from John Lewis.

 If I were an MP I'd have arranged an "information gathering" visit to Pinarello's HQ and bought in bulk (with taxpayer money natch). Can a bike be classed as a second home I wonder?

OMG, its pretty desperate in there.

I wonder, do they make sure they eat a lot of bran several hours before going on a ride? There's scope for a new product there - Powerbar Colon Blow. Gives you a burst of energy and a burst of propulsion.

It's like when you see a fat club on TV

"Well done Maureen, you've lost 1lb"

If she'd been to the bog before hand she's have lost 2! :D

You can always spot a weight weenie, cos if you go to check the weight of their bike they'll remove the water bottle first ;)

Incorrect - there will be no bottle cage and the bolts in the frame will be titanium.
