Question about my Cannondale M600

Hi all, I'm a newbie here so forgive me for any stupid questions.
I have an old Cannondale M600 that is looking worse for wear. I appreciate this bike was made quite a few years ago so its not done too bad (incidentally, does anyone know any info about this bike?, i.e when it was made e.t.c).
I really love this book, and cover about 16 - 48 miles a week sometimes on a flat cycle track.
However, its starting to look worse for wear, bearing the brunt of a few accidents where I've fallen off it or dropped it. Theres a few bits and bobs starting to play up a little now.
So, what I want to ask is advice about what to do. I love this bike (I've had it for about 5 or 6 years maybe) and dont want to get rid of it. I'd like to rennovate / restore it. I appreciate that I could just buy a new bike, but I dont really want to. I love my old bike. I'd like to bring it up to spec a little by maybe adding a new fork to the front with suspension, and upgrading / replacing some of the older drivetrain gear.
Any ideas of parts that will fit and where I can get them?
If possible I'd like:
1. New fork, possibly suspension
2. Handlebars (have the smallest amount of rust on)
3. New Cranks, chains, gears and pedals (possibly Shimano's?)
4. The crank is wobbling a bit left to right, I'm guessing the bearing/s / bracket are going.
I plan to shotblast and repaint the frame also.
Any way, all help is really appreciated as I am not ready to get rid of my cherished bike. Apologies if this is in the wrong category.
Thanks,
The Grib.

Hi gribbo, sounds like you'll be spending a lot of money potentially, when you weigh-up the cost of buying new forks, chainset etc you'll probably find that you could buy a complete new bike.
If I were you I'd buy some cheap, 2nd hand bits of Ebay and use it as a winter hack/ pub bike and perhaps save up and look for a new bike.
I have a Cannondale F800 and, like you, I love the bike and can't bear to sell, I've spent far too much upgrading it over the last few months but with the headshock it makes a great winter bike (ok, I do use it all year round, even forsaking my Trance 2).
In summary, Cannondale make great frames so probably worth hanging on to, but I wouldn't spend a fortune upgrading it.
Hope that helps.Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.

Its as a feared, I thought potentially that this wouldnt make much sense financially.
If I were to replace, what would I be best looking at? I have a loyalty to the Cannondale brand0 -
Depends, what's yer budget, what kind of riding?Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.
