Hello from a noob

Good morning/afternoon/evening all , depending on which part of the world you reside in .
I just joined the site having come across it a couple of weeks ago , looks good .
A quick intro : I am 48 , male , English , currently living in a town called Matsumoto in Japan , used to ride a lot when ( much ) younger and did some TTs , and have now entered a race up one of the many local 2000m mountains here , so training has begun
Current bikes are : 1961 ish Holdsworth road/track fixed .

I think that a Japanese company bought the mountain bke rights , or something , and so the bikes are built and sold over here .
I got mine 2nd hand and use it as my daily commuter round the rough streets here .
When I have worked out how to add photos on here I will put up some pics of the local mountains , beautiful , high and steep0 -
