I have heard a few reports of a problem with the paint job on the wilier izoard - from what I understand the white , fades to a beige - as this is one of the bikes I am considering buying I wonder if anyone has anymore info in particular

1.What back up \ replacement policy exists

2.How widespread the problem is

3.If it has been cured now - and have serial numbers been indentified ?

I can't see it affecting many surely without getting picked up. You got any pics to prove?

I don't have the bike yet - a couple people have mentioned on this forum - one even said he was given a new frame - which is good - but I would rather avoid the problem.

It goes beige as you get older - to go with the beige Honda Civic and beige hearing aid.

I've just bought one, I hope it doesn't go beige and this was a problem that has been remedied in manufacture. I don't want to be without for any period of time.

I checked mine out at the time when Wilwil had his frame replaced back in October. All was well then. I've counted three other forum users who appear to have had the same problem. My only concern is from the posts I've seen there paint issue has occured within a matter of months. I took delivery of my Izoard in June. Only probably done a total of 900-1,000 miles on it (769.87 since the computer was fitted) and it was off the road from October till mid-March.

I've only noticed mine starting to suffer from this. Not the best of photos (mobile)... jaundice_wilier01.jpg... but the top tube and the small white section on top of the seat stays is definitely on the turn - and I guess it'll only get worse.

I emailed the bike shop I bought it from on Monday raising the issue wondering whether it is something to pursue through them or whether to contact Wilier/ATB directly. No response so far but I'll give 'em a couple of days and then I'll ring and if no joy I'll try the UK distributor.

strange that, I'm guessing the white paint on my mortirolo is the same stuff?

still seems white and shiney after 18 months.

Don't get drawn into dealing with wholesalers/distributors - deal only with the retailer you bought it from , that's who your contract is with. I had this problem last summer and Epic replaced the frame without any argument - usual excellent service

Yes mine went creamy beige and atb replaced it. apparently there was a problem with the paint on the early ones and it has been sorted. The red was changed as well to a brighter red. They should be OK now. I sold mine 2 months ago as compared to a Cervelo it was a bit like riding a brick. Better made than a Cervelo though.
