Hi Guys
Ive just been given some deora shifters 8speed
so i was going to change the rear derailler (alvio) to deora ,but wich one ,will any be compatible ,or can i leave the alvio mech ,will the shifters still work
any advice appreciated

Both will work.
But how many cogs on the cassette do you have? That is the important bit (and the correct chain type)0 -

the cassette has 8 cogs ,its an 8 speed set up ,i was changing things a few weeks back my rear derailler was bent so ive straightened it and it works fine ,then i was given a price for sram shifters ,cassette ,chain rear derailler ,but decided to keep it as it is ,since its a new bike and ill upgrade when it wears out or gets damaged beond repair ,so been given deore 8 speed shifters so ill either keep them or change the rear mech ,
but when looking keep seeing top pull, rapid rise etc just confusing .0 -
it might have been a typo, but its deore, nor deora, theres probably mud on the logo and you cant read it, or there are scratches!!0
