I bought one "unheard", possibly mad yes but the deal was too good to pass up. Its an all valve 30W twin combo, and will be graced with the oscillating voltage from a 490T and R off a tasty cherry SG. I KNOW its not going to sound like a JCM800, but anyone got any experience of one? Ive read the review on haremony central already, but there very few British opinions.

Have only ever heard other's through soundclick, youtube and on the Musicradar sistersite.

They are slightly bluesy, slightly classic fender tweed iirc. Very, VERY LOUD!! too. :D Supposed to be quite a nice little amp. Have a gander for the model on youtube - there were loads of amp and pedal demos on there (did a few pedal demos myself)

Amps unheard can always be tricky. Did you not consider the Line 6 2x12 or Spider head/cab setup?
  • Tell you what, now its here, I am amazed at how good it is for the money. No I didnt want a modelling amp, Ive got a pocket pod to make sounds up with. This thing is all creamy valve crunch, and its easy to get an AC30 type sound right through to a DSL. My SG sounds fabulous through it, so am really pleased with it. The youtube demos do it no favours, they all sound very thin, and thin it isnt. For the £275 I paid for it, it is ridiculous value for money.

Good stuff - a decent valve tone for that money is a rare beast indeed. Is it full valve or hybrid - valve pre-amp solid state power stage?

I'm in the market for a replacement for my JMP-1 valvle pre-amp. The beasty has served me well over the last 13 years but perhaps it's time to upgrade - any ideas? Like you...I'm unsure of the modeling amp for my main live amp. I'd love a Boogie Tri-Axis but sadly they're prohibitively expensive.
  • Its 100% all tube, no silicon in sight thankfully. I have to say in 15W class A mode on clean channel is simply stunning for the money.
