    Why gel?

Softer is not always better for comfort.More important is the correct support for your sit bones.

Soft saddles feel good in the shop, but tend to be squashy and move about under more rigorous cycling and can prove to be worse for comfort for anything over than short rides.

Have a look at something like the Charge Spoon or SDG Bel Air.Thses sadlles always get good reviews and good reports from users alike.

  • +1 for charge spoon. Got one on my 'hopper. £25 and much more comfortable than the £50 Bonty Rhythm saddle that came with my Remedy. Bargain.

Default answer number 3) Charge Spoon  They're really, really good, all day comfort through good design rather than good padding. Very cheap too, they'd be worth buying at £50 IMO.
