Anyone tried any 2009 Campagnolo bibshorts yet?

I've got on well with the fit and comfort of campy bibshorts in the past, although the sitbone support on the pads tends to go flat after a while (they used to use an "air cushion" thing which eventually deflates!) However I notice they have a new pad this year and I wonder how it compares. Also, I'm wondering if the fit is the same as last year; I've worn an M size in the past, but according to the 2009 fit guidelines on the website the MINIMUM waist measurement for an M size is now 34.5 inches!! As I'm about 6 inches skinnier than that I'm a tad worried, although when I've tried a campy S size in the past it's been too small (according to the website I'm even too skinny for an S!) :?:  Is there some error in the measurements they are publishing, or have they really redesigned the range this year to only fit people with substantial "spare tyres"?

Campag sizing is extremely small- I'm 5'8 and slim but wear an XL!! (my exclamation marks).

If you do buy them let us know how you get on, I like all the Campag stuff I've bought so far (no bibshorts yet though-mainly tops) so would probably give these a try. Although, my new bike came equipped with Shimano: I will be spat at!

I have not had the need to yet as my 07's purchased at X-Mas 07 are still going strong, so they last well.

Mine are about the same age and also mostly still fine, except that the pad is really rather flat and unpadded now.

Don't suppose campag sell the pads separately... silly question.

I have a friend who makes his own lycra shorts. He has templates for the panels taken from a bought pair that fitted really well. He buys lycra by the meter, cuts everything out and sews it together. But he can't find anywhere to buy the pads. He has a large beard.
