Hello all,
Looking at upgrading the tosh Tektro mechanical disk brakes on one of my bikes.
I mostly ride aggressive XC, will also be hitting various Trail Centres over the summer with abit of light free riding thrown in.
I'm looking at either the Shimano Deore M535 or Hayes HFX-9 sets running 180mm rotors. Does anybody have much experience with eith or both of them? If so advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Ricky

The M535 got pretty slammed in MBUK this month but I like them. Although not as precise as the XT ones, they still have a nice feel and plenty of stopping power.0

I had the hayes on my cube acid and I thought they were ok.I have just changed to a Giant Yukon fx1 f/s with the Shimano on.I have to say the Shimano feel a much better brake.Much more feel and progressive braking an stopping power is fine.THe Hayes felt much more 'on or off' much more aggressive also the pads are much easier to get in and out on the Shimano.0
