That Trek is one hell of a good looking bike. Ditch the saddle bag though, stops it from being the coolest bike on the forum!

What rims are they and what does it ride like? Edit - Crank Bros Iodine - sorry.
  • love those wheels
imagine there's a bit of money been put un those 2 bikes
I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

the bike gets used every week rain, shine or snow. I`ve explained in another thread that two weeks ago I fractured my shoulder and broke two ribs, so I`m not riding too much at the mo. I did go for a ride today though.

Very nice, i see the CB wheels came off for your ride today, are they just for photoshoots then?

The sh*tty photos are from a few weeks back to show that the bike is used every week, whatever the weather. The CB wheels were only fitted yesterday. At the moment I have a fractured shoulder and two broken ribs so I can`t go thrashing about at the mo. Give me a chance to heal and you`ll see this bike out in all weathers.

thanks very much. I`m going for a white seat post next, then I`ll probably leave it alone. I want to keep the gold / orange low down and white on the top half.

dont do the white seatpost, i think the black bars and seatpost add a bit of contrast to the white and copper, 2 colour bikes look cheap and tacky and at the moment your trek is the stuff of dreams its gorgeous, it just looks right, keep a bit of black on it is my opinion.
    who cares?

Treakhead, no matter what else you upgrade on your bike it will never look tacky - and now the seat bag has vapourised, it is officially the coolest bike on the forum.

Personally I would get a white seatpost. And you HAVE to get that orange Truvativ, even if it's only for us lot to drool over!!

    latest incarnation
white seatpost and clamp, white pedals and orange spacers.
think I`m done now, might do crank arms, we`ll see.
The bike rides fantastic, the CB wheels are superb. The bikes done 110 miles in 8 days, through rain, sheep sh*t, two rivers and the `bomb hole` at Kenilworth Castle for those who know it. Oh yeah, I clean it after I`ve used it.
Thanks for all the positive comments, and the not so positive. It`s always good to know peoples opinions.
    cheers

I take my hat off to you sir. One hell of a bike. If it was mine Id probably hang it on the wall of my lounge and just drool over it all day long. :D

Give us a clue to total cost?

P.s. If ever you want to get rid can I have first offer?

P.p.s. I''d take the companion bench in the background as well - one seat for me and one for the bike.

a rusty chain would match the colour scheme perfectly.

thats as good looking as a bike gets i reckon.
