Hi all,
Im looking for some advice - Im looking for a GPS for a present for my Dad - a GPS thats well suited to cycling AND walking as he does a lot of both.
I've managed to find the Garmin Edge 605 & 705 models which seem good to do this, but my knowledge of the GPS market is quite limited - is this the one to go for or can anyone recommend a better one. I should mention- hes a big fan of the Garmin brand, so a Garmin model is ideally what Im after.
Thanks a lot in advance!!!

If you get the Garmin Edge 605 or 705 make sure you buy the TOPO maps to go with it. The base maps are rubbish and if he's using it for walking he'll need something more than just the roads.0

So it IS suitable for hill walking/hiking as well as biking then?
Just to clarify as well - the TOPO maps come on DVD or microSD card? Or are they a software install on a PC?0
