Tiagra double lifespan?

Changing my chainset to tiagra double on my 2008 SCR 2,how many miles can I expect and is there someting else I should go for?

    Longevity - depends how you look after it. but chainrings are ally

    Is it really worth changing your SCR (triple?) already?
