Hi

Just got back from a ride and my tired FELT saddle has finally died on me, some how it has snapped on the front and therefore 'pops' out of the rear two stays !!

Anyway time for a new one.

Seen that the Fizik Arione is well mentioned, anyone else got any recommendations ?

Cheers

The Fizik Aliante is my saddle of choice but it is a really personal area (literally!), try as many as you can, as I always say, one man's cloud of pleasure is another man's ass hatchett...
  • Exactly the same thing happened to my Felt saddle too! I replaced it with a Specialized Toupe Gel 18 months ago, when money was not so tight, but right now I would seriously consider a Charge Spoon for ~£20. However, we all come in different shapes and sizes so saddle heaven for one can be hell for someone else...

I've always used selle Italia flights.

My LBS runs a scheme whereby you can borrow a saddle, and on the propriortors advice I tried a Fizik Aliante for my latest bike.

It is very comfy and I would replace all my other saddles with them if it weren't so costly to do.

I'm very tempted to buy a white Aliante carbon saddle, but in all sense shouldn't due to the price tag. Perhaps if I put aside some money over the next few months and reduce visits to the pub.

Been riding on an Aliante for the past 2 or 3 years, pretty comfortable for me, also have a Charge Spoon which isn't as comfortable of course, but for 20 quid is very good value and definitely worth a punt.

    Full carbon Aliante goodness...

My winter bike has a carbon Aliante with the metal rails rather than the carbon.
