Giant or Trek

Ok guys (& girls)
Jus about to buy new bike & deciding between Giant anthem X2 or Trek fuel EX8
I know they are different bikes for different purposes but i really like them both
I ride mainly Calderdale & South Pennines
I'm 5'8" and 11st.
Also anyone recommend a good bike shop around Halifax/Hudds/Lancs border area?

How about a Scott Scale 30, i know its not a full susser but you get a carbon frame for your money.

if you are wanting a giant(which i think are better) go to pedalsport in king cross, its afantastic shop and they are all very friendly and you will get a great deal

Depends what you want to do on the bike really, the anthem is an out and out speed demon but the Fuel Ex is a more comfortable trail bike (comfort is subjective though). Have you tried a demo ride of them?

Shop wise, only place I know around there is All Terrain Cycles near Bradford. They sell both Trek and Giant but I've never bought anything from them so can't comment on the service.

I've a fuel ex 7 and couldn't be more pleased. I prefer the look of the treks in general and that's what swayed my decision in the end
