Brake Lever Compatibility

If I bought bars that were 22mm, would MTB disc brake levers be compatible e.g. BB7, Juicy3?
I want to sort out compatibilty issues for my build project before I go and buy bits that end up being "useless" to me.

    99.9% of the MTB bars are all the same size at the grips.

    If you are getting BMX bars make sure they will fit you stem.

    cool - you kind of answered my next question...

    as well as brake lever compatibility being ok with 22.2 mm bars, most grips (lock-ons) would be ok too?

    i do apologise for the question overload tonight but im sick to death of planning lessons for the new school term so im working out how to spend money on my build instead!!
