Please help! I'm a bit confused over pedal types. What are the differences?

I prefer not to wear cycle specific shoes, what pedals are best?

Many thanks

If you were to go with SPD pedals, you would have to use cycling shoes, but you can have many that you can walk quite comfortably in.

I have Shimano M520 pedals, which I use for commuting and they are great - easy enough to clip in and out of and the cleats on the shoes are recessed, therefore the shoes are easy to walk in.

there are plenty of MTB spud shoes that look like 'regular' trainers

    Shimano MT31
