hello there fine sirs
out of curiosity, which decade, in your experience was the best to be alive in?
i'm only 17, so have only experienced the 90's and the 00's, and don't think i've got enough life experience to be able to really choose a 'best decade'
but please say what your fav decade was, especially all you naughty fourties and above :P

80's were the best for me Teenage years, left school, started work, got a car, music went from Electro to Cheese to Madchester to Dance all in 10 years. No reponsibilities and the world wasn't shite.0

80's for me - started with student years and life of few responsibilities of worries. The country went to the dogs and the Thatcher years inflicted significant hardship and deprivation on many people - but we didn't realise at the time it would take 20 years for a recovery. The music of the period was simply awesome - the crest of punk / new wave and the chance to see many great groups in small venues with a great atmosphere - Clash, SLF, Theatre of Hate, Spear of Destiny, U2, New Order etc. . A Scottish rider was winning the polka dot jersey; roads were nice and quiet and drivers generally considerate - heady days indeed.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

The 80s - you could go out up town, get 8 pints of light and bitter, a meat pie, and a woman, and still have change from a tenner.
mind you, there wasn't much meat in the pie.0 -
