Hi,
I can't seem to find any reviews for this bike

Does anyone have one? and would you recommend it for a 6 miles commute along cycle path, park and a little uphill roads?
Thanks!

Hi toybhoy
It's veeery upright isn't it? And that huge seat - almost begging you to put all your weight on it and just relaaax...
It's probably a nice comfortable ride on the flat, but you would never feel racey and speedy on it.
Also in my experience, trying to push up hills when your handlebars are so high compared to your seat - they kinda get in the way.
Is the cycle path tarmac or rough dirt?0 -
Hi Sara!
Thanks for replying!
The cyclepath is all tarmac.
I think you're right in that this would be all about a comfortable commute which I guess is a good thing when I'll only be cycling a 6 mile commute so cycling fast isn't really a requirement.
Can you recommend anything else for this price range that you think would be better? (<£300)
Thanks again!0 -
First I reckon you test-ride one!
Then I'd suggest testing a couple of different types of bike, although a road bike for £300 may not be so good unless you buy 2nd hand.
If it's all tarmac, I'd also suggest looking for narrower tyres and maybe bigger wheels, 28mm tyres maybe, and 700c size wheels.
For that kind of price I've heard a lot of good things about the Carrera Subway bikes from Halfords - although there's not much confidence in their stores for technical bike knowledge - so it's worth taking a Halfords bike to a local bike shop for a check-over.
