If your Home & Contents insurance is due for renewal soon it may be worth looking at M&S.
This is from there FAQ's :-
18.Do you insure bicycles?
Yes, and you do not need to specially mention a bicycle unless it is valued at £4000 or more.
The Contents section will cover your bicycles when it is in your home, an outbuilding or in your garden. The Cover Away From Home section of the policy will provide worldwide cover when they are temporarily removed from your home, including being taken abroad.0 -
That's interesting. I'm currently using JLT through British Cycling. I was looking through it yesterday and the cover isn't great to be honest. There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...

Any thoughts from people that don't have home and contents insurance?
(we rent a furnished flat, and really the only thing of value in it is our bikes and the computers - so insurance for the rest of ain't needed)blog: bellevedere0 -
I've never had to make a claim for stolen or damaged bike, but had a bathroom leak & it was all sorted fine! So I'd recommend M&S.

When looking I actually found it was cheaper to get the Home & Contents cover that included the bicycle benefits than insure the bikes on there own. Some companies wanted more for my bike per year than my car!0 -
