Rigid Forks? On a Scott Aspect?`

Excuse my absolute ignorance in this but I have been wondering if I can run rigid forks on an XC Hardtail such as my Scott Aspect 45. Ideally I am after spending £100-£150 and want to try them as I want to go 'back to basics' and try something rawer and morechallenging.
If you could point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
