I'm not being lazy, honest.
I really am looking, for an event less than 100 miles, for the 1st weekend of May, down in the West Country.
Ideally around Dorchester, but that does bring East Devon and South Somerset into play.
I have checked the usual stuff (cyclosport and google), but nothing has come up.

If you don't mind travelling a bit through the new forest to Lymington then you can jump on a ferry and do the excellent Isle of Wight Randonnee on Sunday 3rd. http://www.cycleisland.co.uk/
This is a very popular event and very cheap in that it is free!!
Lymington is about an hour away from Dorchester and you will leave early so perhaps even quicker.0
