Crashes everywhere.
Long way to go in this Belgian sweetie.....
Be Pure! Be Vigilant! Behave!
3000 metres to race. Who is going to win this race? Remember, Cavendish is not racing
Sign of the times?
It's magical, isn't it. Not knowing who was going to win a sprint in advance...
Could catch on!
QS didn't really contest the finish.
May get a replay posted on that Sporza hightlights thingemy.
and here it is. The last 2kms plus replays of the utter carnage.

Looked like McEwen put Greg VA into the barriers, but came off worst of all.
Boonan was also caught.....as was everybody else!

Not sure Boonen will be too bothered. He's off on a holiday now anyway
Various 'opinions' from the riders. Van Avermaet blamed Petacchi for coming across to the left on him, & McEwen said Van Avermaet was just too slow.
I think it was just a racing incident really. Van Avermaet went damn early with his sprint and didn't really find much speed to be honest. When Petacchi went past it was game over and McEwen wanted to squeeze by too...
The slow motion replay really showed one hell of a fall for McEwen. Lucky not to have broken anything but he's a tough old censored .
In the end it looked damn easy for Petacchi. Even without the fall the only person who had any chance of beating him was McEwen.
