    Pretty easy.

It's the M'ingTFU that's the hard bit. Good luck with that, fella...

Been out on the bike much recently Greg? :D

    Umm, does this morning count?

Aside from that, not so much. Bit slippy for a bike where I've been. :P
Swim. Bike. Run. Yeah. That's what I used to do.

I'm wondering about moving to a double. I specced the Prince with a compact with the Etape in mind, no way was I going to manage Tourmalet and Hautacam on a double. However I'm not doing the Etape or indeed any Euro sportives this year so perhaps it's time for a change... how hard is it to swap from compact to double and back again? I'd like the option of both as I'm half thinking about heading to the Pyrenees for a few days in August/September.

I bought my Trek with a compact on the advise of the LBS  then switched to a double as a 34t here is just silly, as I found out the crank arms for compact and doubles are different sized BCD, so you can either find a near enough chainring for what you have already or like me buy a complete double crankset and swap them over as needed.

Changing chainrings is a simple allen key 5 min job changing the whole lot needs the right tools, pref a workstand and torque wrench, rubber mallet etc.

Simple answer find out you BCD and buy a custom chainring, let me know what your running and I should be able to help, I have a good "supplier"

Edit: Shimano compact = 110 BCD
    Shimano double = 130 BCD

or the other way around, either way they're not compatible.

You should tell Theresa to be more careful with the massage oil. The staff at the Dorchester Spa have been a little slap dash as of late and as for that Turkish brutes nails....!
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

    What would Thora Hurd do?
