It's time to buy a new fork, so I been trawling through the forums looking at whats "in" just now. Fox and Rocks get a lot of coverage, but you hardly ever read anything about Manitou's..? I wonder why.
Looking at '08 models an for the price they seem to be good deals to be had, when you consider weight, travel. adjustability and so on.
Anyone out there care to share anything about this.
I'm in need of a 100mm - 120mm unit to go on the front of my Superlight.
Cheers

Manitou have had lot of problems in the last three or four years, not least of which is the "R" word - reliability. Or rather lack of it.

There has also been the issue of their UK distributor - no one seems to have kept hold of it for more than a few months at a time recently. That said Manitou is now part of the Hayes group so you may see improvements in distribution and after-sales, but there is still the reliability issue.

So Mr. Hill it seems like I should be steering (ha-ha) clear of Manitou's. What would be your present choice if you were to buy a new fork.
    Any input appreciated.
