If you are thinking about getting a Brooks saddle then the Brooks Imperial is getting some good comments. It's a B17 with a cutout.
If you think the B17 is too wide then the Swift or the Swallow might suit you

Greg - get one! Nothing says "Please excuse me as I blast past you but I must insist I really am not trying" like a beautiful work-in Brooks saddle. Surely must be a FCN modifier?R25

Well we do have twice as many "experienced" votes in favour than against and of those who have never tried one we have 100% band wagon jumping and ill informed support - there has to be something in it.
EDIT - Ah - we have found an lone hater of the leather armchair who hasn't tried one - truly a free mind and nay sayer - well done
I like the sound of Swift - modern saddles normally come with squiggles, umlauts and pronunciation instructions.
I notice the goat based smut has calmed down which is in my opinion a retrograde step but thems the breaksFixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

LiT's out of the country. We are trying to resume normal service but keeping it up is increasingly difficult.Bike1

I think it all comes down to how you break the leather in - cream may assist but there will inevitably be chafing
I had a go on someone else's and the creases were in the wrong place so it wasn't my cup of tea at all, made my eyes water after a while, regardless of whether I went easy or really gave it some hammer"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"

Personally I would always go with bandwagon jumping and ill informed support - of course what you may have not considered is the malevolent minority such as myself who are merely encouraging you in order to see what happens - shame about the goats

Chafing appears inevitable in either case :shock:0 -
