Low Rolling resistance, I do a lot of road/street riding to get to the good places, but also able to handle things like singletrack, gravelly stuff (as the cycle network paths here seem to be) and basically all sorts of conditions, wet/dry/hot/cold. Looking for size wise anything from 1.7 to 2.1, just punctured my wtb prowler mx 2.1 and pretty peeved because it was only my second off road and I didn't go over any glass that I'm aware of, just the gritty sh*t that seems to be on those cycle network things.
I'd happily take semi slick if they'll work off-road light xc type conditions, I grew up riding 1.75ish so I'm not bothered about them being too wide. I've been running my current ones at 50psi cos i'm a tad heavy and they felt better on the roads like it, but maybe I'm wrong there too!?
Just want something predictable too & strong. I remember 10 years ago i bought some dry weather ones which would send me sideways on first sign of greasy wet surfaces, wasn't fun at all

Try Maxxis High Roller Semi Slicks (linky) - not the lightest and they are 2,35 wide but I find them excellent in all but the muddiest conditions. 50psi int hem and they roll for fun!
Or Nokian do an NBX semi slick, 2,2 wide and only 550g for the kevlar version. Even the wire-beads are only 650g and at £14.99 I'd say they're a bit of a steal! (Linky)0 -
Ive got Schwalbe Hurricanes on atm, semi-slick but fair tread at the edges for grip if needed, plus a kevlar belt to avoid punctures0
