does campy do a 36T chainring for 11sp compact chainsets?

I'm happy with 10sp for the moment, but I notice that the new CT 11sp chainsets don't have a 50/36 option, and I haven't seen any 11sp 36T chainrings. It would be annoying if campy had abandoned this option, as 50/36 is a great combination in my opinion.

It's a regular compact chainring - just campag compact bolt-pattern poss.110mm. TA, Stronglight and Campagnolo all do them. The 11 speed thing doesnt matter.

It's slightly narrow, but a 10spd would work fine, and the chainrings need to have a (4x110mm + 1x113mm) bcd

If 10sp rings work fine with the narrower 11sp chains, then there's no problem I guess.

I always hear conflicting information about the compatibility of different width chains and chainrings. Wouldn't want to run anything that stressed the links and increased the chance of chain breaks.
  • The internal dimension of the 11 speed chain is identical to the 10 speed. The 0.4mm decrease in width is in the sideplates so you shouldn't have a problem with the width of 10 speed rings at least.

There are one or two internet tales to the contrary but I've had no problems with 10 speed Campagnolo or Shimano cranksets with an otherwise 11 speed drivetrain. Your mileage may vary...
