Tyre or Drivetrain Conundrum

I have only 50 pounds to spend and I need two things.

Firstly, the drivetrain is beginning to wear out so I am thinking of new chain and cassette with a slightly larger top cog. Any recomendations for both under 50.

Or should I buy some new tyres to replace wearing ones, which would need to be puncture resistant and high milege.

Which do you think would make the most difference and do you have any recomendations?

Help please!

It'd be difficult to recommend anything, as you haven't said whether it's 8, 9 or 10spd, or even whether it's campag or shimano....

ah yeah, it's 7 speed shimano which is hard enough to find replacement parts for.

I may save up for a new groupset and buy some krylions now.

+1for the Krylion Carbons, had them on all winter and this is the first winter in 30 years without a puncture and still going strong.By the way there are plenty of 7 speed freewheels and a couple of chains  on ebay at the mo.

If you only have £59 get some tyres - they are in contacct with the road and you need them to be good. You may be able to get a pair plus a new chain for your budget.

Conti GP400s are great tyres for me.
