I'm looking at both the Boardman Team and the Team carbon and am curious to know the pros and cons.
As far as I can see they have exactly the same spec bar a different chain and obviously the frame.
Is the only advantage of carbon the weight saving as it seems that you're paying £200 for 0.5lbs of weight saving.
Am I wrong?

Carbon is a more comfortable material to ride as it dampens vibration and as an added benefit it has no fatigue lifespan. Alloy is stiff in all directions and as such is a bit more harsh to ride on bumpy surfaces and has a finite lifespan.... although this is generally a lot of years, but means that the frame can only be warranteed for a certain amount of time

It's reckoned to cost £1 to save 1 gram of weight, as 0.5 lbs is 226 grams, £200 is a comparative bargain!
