Hello all.

Thanks for all the advice on he above. I'm going up on the 15th May for a couple of days and we'll be camping.

So - where's the best bet to camp? We're aking tents etc.

Also, is there anywhere in Grizedale for evening refreshment??

Thanks all!

    1. Grizedale Camping ( ) - Linky.

    2. The Eagle's Head in Satterthwaite, 2 minutes drive from the campsite - Linky.

    Easy!!

Hawkshead has two campsites both within easy walking distance of the village and a choice of pubs. Alternatively there's Coniston campsite but a bit further to the pub. Easdy ride from both to Grizedale.

You could camp at coniston hall,it's one of my favourite sites and while you are there you could have a go at doing the walna scar route on one of your days. There,s a couple of pubs and plenty of shops in Coniston too.
