I was just about to head out when i noticed i had a puncture :( I've changed the tube but realised i have no other spares and my sister nicked my repair kit and i can't get hold of her. I expect you're all out but was wondering if there's anything i can do?(what if i blob a bit of superglue over the small hole in the punctured one? Will that get me home?) If not i'll just risk it 8)

Could you not borrow one from a cycling buddy, Stefanos? No LBSs open - there's at least one in Glasgow - that you could fit into your route? That's where I'm heading, 'cos I've found myself in much the same position (and it's a good excuse to squeeze in a sneaky hour or two :D ). I've got a repair kit, but the glue's dried out because I haven't used it in the last squillion kms.

Have you seen those self-adhesive patches? They're like super-strong sticky tape basically. In an emergency, I got inspired by these once and walked to a mate's house (2 minutes away from where I got the puncture) and used some of his heavy-duty gaffa tape. It got me home + about another 50/60 miles before I fixed it properly! Who knows, it might have still been going today!

Cheers for the replys chaps :)

I live in the country so i'd have to cycle 10 miles to the bike shop hoping they're open but i do have some of that really strong siver tape so i will try that :D
It's not usually a problem anyway i used to not even bother but went out with a mate last w/end who insisted we needed one then, typically i punctured so thought i'd take that as warning

Anyhoo off back out now so hopefuly.................

Does anywhere in the UK sell bulk bags of patches or glues online ? The only ones I've found are in the states and I guess they won't work on this side of the road

Only kidding about that last bit
