The freewheel in my new Mavic Kelsriun Equipes is very sticky. If you backpedal it even slows you down. Is this normal? Front wheel is fine, rolls out perfect but back is just sluggish. Any advice would be great.....

i had this problem with my equipes after about 5000 miles on them , you,ll have to remove the freewheel , easy to do, you dont need any special tools just remove the axle first and then the freewheel just pulls off and if its like mine you may find that one of the springs beneath one or both of the ratchet pawls has become displaced, simply locate the spring/s back in its hole replace the pawls and carefully slide the freewheel hub back over and check it works ok.if it does then you can replace the axle, be careful when removing the freewheel hub as the springs might ping out and you dont want to lose them, while youve got the freewheel off put a bit of oil on the plastic bush that it runs on at the wheelhub end , mines been fine since, done another 1500 or so miles
