Coast 2 Coast, St Bees to Robin Hood Bay Information require
Hi Im new to this forum so please bear with me.
I am looking to ride the Coast 2 Coast wainwrights path in August 09 for a local childrens hospice, i am a very experienced mountainbike rider but im looking for guidance and information regarding the best route. I am quite aware that some of the path is not rideable and so im looking for alternatives routes to try and avoid walking and carrying my bike.
I have also been looking at buying books maps etc and most get very poor reviews, so if anyone can also give me personal advice on this that would be great.
Thanks for reading...

This is the best book:

Or alternatively

The Sea to Sea(C2C) runs from Workington to Sunderland and is on easier trails/roads/disused railways.I'm sure you could jumble both routes around a bit to get a more ridable route. The C2C is marked with blue fingerposts(in Cumbria at least),the Wainwright route obviously isn't.Its only really the first day/Lake District section that's a hike-a-bike on the Wainwright route.
Good luck mate0
